"We cook the way our grandmothers taught us — with patience, with the best things the season offers, and with an unshakeable belief that to eat together is to live well."
Osteria Vino is a love letter to the Italian table. We source from local Carolina farms and import only what cannot be replicated — aged Parmigiano, hand-pressed Sicilian olive oils, DOP San Marzano. Our pastas are made each morning; our sauces are built slowly. Come hungry. Leave beloved.
Dinner nightly from 5:30 PM · Lunch Friday & Saturday from 11:30 AM · Brunch Sunday from 10:30 AM
Executive Chef & Co-Owner
Elena Rossi grew up in a small town outside of Bologna, in a kitchen that never stopped. Her mother's ribollita, her father's hand at curing meats — these were not recipes but rituals, passed down without measurement. She trained at the Culinary Institute of Bologna, spent five years in Modena, and another three in a Ligurian village before following love — and a jar of homemade 'nduja — to Charleston.
At Osteria Vino, Elena channels that inheritance into a menu that is seasonal, soulful, and completely uncompromising. She is a 2023 James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: Southeast, and was named one of Food & Wine's "100 Chefs Changing America."
Whether a quiet dinner for two or a celebration that deserves something memorable, we are honored to have you. For same-day inquiries or parties of eight or more, please call us directly.

Every private event is designed with care: a curated menu, a dedicated sommelier, and complete privacy. We also offer semi-private arrangements for groups of 12–18 in our Wine Alcove.
